Public Libraries SA

Public Libraries of South Australia is a network of 140 public libraries providing library services to South Australians. The network executes its activity within a Memorandum of Agreement between local government and state to provide free public library services to Australians. Local government provides part of the finds for public libraries and the State provides funding for the "network" approach to the provision of services across the state. Some of the services supported by the state are free internet access, online database, provision of online selection data and catalogue records, Wireless, centralised procurement and contract management, library materials in over 20 community languages, interlibrary loan services, etc are also available.
