Oporto offers its clients Portuguese style chicken (Galinha à Africana), burgers, chips and spicy chilli sauce. Oporto's founder is Antonio Cerqueira who opened the first restaurant in 1986. The Australians were impressed by the taste of the Portuguese style dishes and the popularity of the restaurant quickly grew. Today there are more than 13 million people eating in Oporto each year. The chain opens an average of 15 stores a year. Today there are more than 140 stores in Australia and New Zealand and soon opened the first store on the west coast of America. Over the past 20 years Oporto has had an impressive growth.
